Who we are
We are International Network of Health Promotion Foundations, abbreviated as INHPF.
Our Journey
Around the year 2000, the need to exchange ideas and experiences among the health promotion foundations was the original inspiration to set up an informal network called the the International Network of Health Promotion Foundations or INHPF.
By the year 2005 the first network agreement was endorsed to properly launch the INHPF with the aim of enhancing health promotion efforts worldwide and the mission to strengthen the capacity of countries in promoting health of their populations through the work of health promotion foundations.
Over the past two decades, the Network members have jointly and actively pursued actions to enhance the performance of existing health promotion foundations and to support the establishment of new health promotion foundations around the world.
Because establishing a sustainable health promotion funding mechanism is the most cost-effective way to generate a reliable long-term funding stream for promoting and improving population health.
